# Publishing jobs to your portal

> Create a posting from the job’s Advertising tab, publish it, and manage its lifecycle.

_Collection: Job Advertising & Portal (job-portal) — Kepler Help Center. Canonical: https://keplercrm.com/support/articles/publishing-jobs/_

Jobs are advertised per-channel from the job page's **Advertising** tab. The portal channel hosts the vacancy on your [job portal](/support/articles/set-up-your-job-portal/); the LinkedIn channel captures applicants from a LinkedIn job — see [LinkedIn applications](/support/articles/linkedin-applications/).

## Creating a portal posting

  - Open the job and select the **Advertising** tab.

  - Click **Create Job Board Posting**. The posting starts as a **draft**, with the job's internal description copied in as a starting point.

  - Edit the advertised copy in the description editor — or click **Generate Job Description** to let AI write it from the job's details (see [AI job descriptions](/support/articles/ai-job-descriptions/)).

  - Set **Applicants enter pipeline at** — the pipeline stage accepted applicants will enter. New postings initially use **Applied**; choose another [stage](/support/articles/customising-pipeline-stages/) if required.

  - Review the job's shared **match criteria**. Portal applicants are scored against the same criteria as sourced candidates; there is no posting-specific criteria set. See [AI candidate matching](/support/articles/ai-candidate-matching/).

  - Choose **Applicant intake for this posting**: inherit the workspace default, add clean applicants automatically, or review every application.

  - Toggle the status to **Published**.

## The posting lifecycle

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Draft | Visible only to your team. Edit freely. |
| Published | Live on your portal and accepting applications. |
| Closed | Removed from the portal; the application form stops accepting submissions. Closed postings can be re-published. |

Only active jobs can be published. Closing the job — or otherwise making it inactive — makes its posting unavailable; reopening the job does not republish the posting automatically.

## Preview and share

From the publish panel you can **preview** the live posting in a new tab and **copy a shareable link** — paste it into outreach messages, social posts or your email signature. Every application through that link lands in the job's Inbound queue.

## Advertised copy vs the internal brief

The posting's description is independent of the job's internal description — sanitise commercially sensitive details, rewrite for tone, or translate, without touching the internal brief.

> **NOTE:** Editing a published posting updates the live portal page immediately — no re-publish step needed.
