# Setting up your job portal

> Brand and publish your hosted careers portal — URL, logo, colours, intro text and description template.

_Collection: Job Advertising & Portal (job-portal) — Kepler Help Center. Canonical: https://keplercrm.com/support/articles/set-up-your-job-portal/_

Every workspace gets a hosted, public **Job Portal** — a branded careers page listing your published vacancies and taking applications, with no separate website needed. Candidates can browse and apply without an account; applicants land in each job's [Inbound queue](/support/articles/review-inbound-applicants/) for review.

## Configure the portal

Go to **Settings → Job Portal**. The page is organised into three sections plus the headless API.

| Section | What you set there |
| --- | --- |
| Portal | Portal enabled — the master switch. When disabled, the public portal returns "not found", which is useful while you brand it. |
| Branding | Theme, Brand color and logo, above a live preview of your portal. |
| When do applicants join your CRM? | Your workspace intake policy — see below. |
| URL, domain and advanced settings | Expand this to set the Portal URL slug (e.g. /portal/acme ), a custom domain, a Logo URL if your logo is hosted elsewhere, and the Job description template the AI follows when writing adverts. See AI job descriptions . |

Save with **Save changes** at the bottom of the page, then open your portal URL to check the result. The portal is mobile-first, so test it on a phone too.

## Theme and preview

Choose a theme in **Branding**:

  - **Bento** (default) — brand-forward: a deep header in your colour, rounded role cards and a filter rail.

  - **Ledger** — editorial: warm paper, serif headlines and a ruled list, with your colour as an accent.

  - **Index** — utilitarian: a white page with black rules, a numbered table and monospace details.

The preview below the theme buttons re-renders as you change settings, using your published roles or sample ones. Click the portal name or the headline *inside the preview* to edit them directly — that's where the portal's name and intro text are set. Use the expand icon to open the full-page preview of both the board and a job page.

For the logo, click **Upload logo** (or **Replace logo**) in the branding toolbar. If your logo is already hosted somewhere, paste its address into **Logo URL** under the advanced settings instead.

## Your own domain

To serve the portal from your own domain, enter it under **URL, domain and advanced settings**, save, add the displayed CNAME record at your DNS provider, then click **Verify DNS**. Once verified, the preview address bar shows your domain instead of the Kepler URL.

## When applicants join your CRM

Under **When do applicants join your CRM?**, choose whether clean applicants join the pipeline automatically or wait for recruiter review. Possible duplicates always wait for a link-or-create decision.

## What candidates see

  - **The job list** — your published portal postings, searchable and filterable by location.

  - **Job pages** — the advertised description with an **Apply** form: name, email, phone, location, LinkedIn URL and an optional CV upload.

  - **A confirmation** after applying.

Only fields meant for the public are exposed — internal data (fees, client names, internal notes, salary internals) never appears on the portal.

## Anti-spam protections

The application form is protected by rate limiting, a hidden honeypot field that traps bots, and 24-hour deduplication of repeat applications from the same email to the same posting. CVs are restricted to PDF/DOC/DOCX up to 10 MB.

> **TIP:** Already have a careers site? You can keep it and power it with Kepler's portal API instead — see Using your own website .
