What are Kepler and Carerix?
Kepler is an AI-first recruitment CRM. At its centre is AI Chat, in a sidebar on every page. You ask a question in plain English, and it searches the whole workspace, ranks candidates and creates or updates records once you approve.

Carerix is an ATS and CRM for staffing intermediaries in the Netherlands and Belgium, describing itself as an “AI-gedreven ATS & CRM platform”. It sells to permanent recruitment (werving & selectie), temp (uitzenden), secondment (detachering) and corporate recruitment. Its recent product work includes CX Sense, Carerix Private AI, the Carerix Notetaker and Recruitment Marketing Automation.
For contract placements, Kepler records each placement’s fee, invoice status and payment status and connects to a back-office or payroll system through its API. Carerix’s secondment edition handles contracts, hours and invoicing in its own system.
What is the main difference between Kepler and Carerix?
The main difference is how you work. In Kepler you ask, about anything in the workspace. AI Chat searches CVs, notes, email threads and call transcripts, returns the people as a list you can act on, and makes the updates once you approve.
Kepler is one plan with the AI included. The client portal, matching, CV parsing, API and webhooks are all in the one published price.
Carerix is sold in four editions, with features moving up through them and every edition quoted after a demo. Its Private AI is, in Carerix’s words, “volledig afgekaderd op kandidaat-, vacature- en matching-gerelateerde ondersteuning”, fully fenced to candidate, vacancy and matching support. General questions return an error, so it does not answer questions across your whole database.
How do Kepler and Carerix compare on AI, search and matching?
AI Chat. Kepler’s AI Chat takes @-mentions of specific records and returns results as lists you can save. It can create and update records once you approve, and drafts emails and automations for you.
Carerix Private AI. Inside its fence, Carerix’s AI answers questions about a candidate’s data, writes summaries and interview questions, drafts an offer letter and rewrites vacancy text.
Search. Kepler understands meaning as well as keywords, across candidates, CVs, notes, email threads and call transcripts. Carerix’s Global Search covers candidates, matches, vacancies, companies, contacts, talent pools, leads and opportunities from one bar. Its vacancy-side search covers CV keywords, skills and education.
Matching. Kepler scores every candidate from 0 to 100 against the job. The score is based on criteria taken from the job description, which you can edit, and each criterion shows the line from the CV, call or email behind it.
Carerix’s Search & Match assistant watches for new candidates and vacancies and puts proposals in a screening overview. The automated version is only in the Enterprise edition, and the deeper AI matching layer comes from a partner, theMatchBox.
Outside AI tools. Kepler also runs an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code can read and act on your workspace with the permissions you set.

Where does Kepler go further than Carerix?

How much does Kepler cost, and how much does Carerix cost?
Kepler is USD 99 per user per month billed annually, or USD 129 monthly. Every feature is included, with unlimited records and storage and a free migration. AI Chat is included on every plan, monthly and annual, with no add-on or upgrade needed.
Carerix Enterprise is the edition to compare, the top tier (ARF on the Dutch page). The portals and the automated matching assistant are only in Enterprise. As of 13 Sep 2026 every Carerix edition is quoted per user per month after a demo.
Premium keeps Automated CV Parsing and the Data Connector but not the portals or automated matching. Essential and Starter drop CV parsing too. Each edition has a task (“taken”) allowance of 1,000, 5,000, 20,000 or 50,000, with no published definition of a task.
API access and webhooks are only in the paid Carerix Datasource bundle, requested through Customer Success.
Which agencies is Kepler built for?
Kepler is built for agencies whose main asset is their database: years of CVs, notes, emails and call transcripts. It suits teams that would rather ask a question than build a search.

Yes. Kepler runs the migration for you, free on every plan. You send an export from Carerix plus any loose CVs and spreadsheets, and Kepler does the mapping, clean-up and checks.
Custom fields are rebuilt as real fields, and activity, stages and history come across. Before the full load you review fifty of your own records, and the migration lands in days.

Carerix publishes no price for any edition. Does Carerix have an AI assistant?
Yes, within limits. Kepler’s AI Chat works across the whole workspace, including emails and call transcripts, and updates records once you approve. Carerix Private AI offers prompts, an assistant on vacancies that rewrites job text, an assistant on candidates that answers questions and drafts documents such as an offer letter, Conversational AI over WhatsApp and Assisted Matching. Carerix states it is fenced to candidate, vacancy and matching support, and general questions return an error.
Does Kepler keep GDPR consent records?
Yes. Kepler keeps a consent ledger per candidate and contact: purposes, lawful basis, framework (GDPR, UK GDPR, PDPA or CCPA), source, evidence, and the dates consent was given and runs until. Campaign audiences follow it, a nightly check flags expiring consent, and an automation can send a consent request. Carerix stores a lawful basis per person with retention terms, renewal emails and anonymisation.
