Alternatives

7 best Spott alternatives for recruitment agencies in 2026

Spott is an AI-native ATS and CRM sold in three tiers, with automations, sequences and enrichment starting on Pro at USD 199 per user per month. These are the seven alternatives an agency in the same bracket actually shortlists, with each one’s matched-plan price, the AI it includes, and where it is ahead of Kepler.

The seven Spott alternatives, in one line each

  • Kepler — agencies whose asset is a database nobody can currently search.
  • Recruit CRM — small and mid-size agencies that want a broad, inexpensive seat.
  • Loxo — agencies that need to buy reach into a market they do not cover.
  • Recruiterflow — boutique and mid-size agencies that live on multichannel outbound.
  • Crelate — US boutique agencies that want a light back office alongside the CRM.
  • Vincere — mid-size UK and APAC agencies with a temp or contract desk.
  • Bullhorn — enterprise staffing firms that pay and bill their own contractors.

Why do agencies look for a Spott alternative?

Spott is a strong product and Kepler’s closest direct competitor: the same category, the same bet. The reasons an agency shortlists an alternative are structural and on Spott’s own pages.

  • The AI you are shopping for starts on the second tier. Spott publishes Core at USD 139 per user per month billed annually and Pro at USD 199, with a quote-only Enterprise above them. Automations, Multi-Channel Sequences, the Marketing Suite and Data Enrichment start at Pro, so the tier beside a one-edition product is USD 199 (spott.io/pricing, 13 Sep 2026).
  • Enrichment is metered on top of the seat. AI token spend is included in every Spott plan; enrichment credits for contact data cost extra.
  • Ask AI is scoped to the record you have open. Spott’s documentation routes cross-record work to ChatGPT or Claude through its MCP server, outside the product.
  • The careers site lives under Spott’s domain. Branded career pages are hosted under app.spott.io/careers/, so the search authority your roles accumulate belongs to the vendor.
  • A documented matching ceiling and thin record history. Spott’s documentation notes matching degrades when the hard-filter pool exceeds roughly 2,000 candidates, and its activity panel has no per-field history or undo.

None of that makes Spott a bad choice: an opportunities pipeline, scorecards, multiposting, live call cards with an SMS inbox, a mobile app and ISO 27001 are all in Spott today and not in every alternative below. The full Spott review covers both halves.

Spott alternatives compared at a glance

The price column is the plan a buyer would put beside Spott Pro — the tier carrying the vendor’s AI — on an annual basis in the vendor’s currency. Where that tier is priced on request, the column says so.

How we evaluated these alternatives

Every claim about another vendor comes from that vendor’s own pricing page, documentation or product pages, read on the date listed in the sources. The price beside each product is the plan that carries its AI, on an annual basis, never the cheapest tier; where that plan has no public price the post says so. Each “where it is ahead of Kepler” paragraph is taken from that product’s review on this site, unsoftened. Kepler publishes this post; read it as an interested party’s account.

1. Kepler

What it is and who it suits

Kepler is a recruitment CRM built around one assistant and a searchable database. The assistant sits in a sidebar on every page, reads the whole workspace — CVs, notes, email threads and call transcripts — and can create and update records once a person approves. Search is plain English, semantic and keyword together; matching returns a shortlist with a verdict and a source for every requirement. Around that: pipelines, email and calendar sync, a meeting notetaker, CV parsing and formatting, a careers site on your own domain, email campaigns, automations, a client portal, a consent ledger, an MCP server, and email, WhatsApp and LinkedIn in one inbox.

Pricing

USD 99 per user per month billed annually, or USD 129 monthly. One edition, every feature included, unlimited records, a monthly AI allowance with more on request, and a done-for-you migration free on every plan. No tier above it, no exit fee. See Kepler pricing and the feature pages.

Where Spott is ahead of Kepler

Kepler is the publisher, so the honest line is what it lacks. Spott ships an opportunities pipeline with weighted stages, scorecards with a rubric, seven telephony providers with live inbound call cards and SMS threads, multiposting, contact enrichment, company hierarchies, native iOS and Android apps, and ISO 27001 with EU hosting. Kepler has none of those, nor timesheets, invoicing, payroll or a sourcing database.

2. Recruit CRM

What it is and who it suits

Recruit CRM is a broad, inexpensive ATS and CRM for small and mid-size agencies worldwide. Its AI is a set of task-level helpers — a 0–100 candidate match, a call transcript generator, AI sourcing — rather than an assistant across the database, and around them it ships timesheets, invoicing, bulk texting, multiposting, enrichment and mobile apps. It suits an agency that wants the widest set of operations for the lowest published seat price.

Pricing

The plan to put beside Spott Pro is Business at USD 135 per user per month billed annually, or USD 159 monthly — the first tier with fifty AI matches and open API access. Pro is USD 95 annual with two AI matches and no API; Enterprise, USD 215 annual, bundles the add-ons billed separately on Business, where automation, multiposting and enrichment are extra. Done-for-you migration is paid by data volume. Read on recruitcrm.io/pricing, 13 Sep 2026.

Where it is ahead of Kepler

Recruit CRM sells timesheets, invoicing and contractor pay as a product line; Kepler has no back office. It ships bulk texting and SMS sequences, records calls inside the product, multiposts to what it describes as 5,000+ channels, enriches missing contact details, sources across the internet, has Android and iOS apps, and states ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification. Kepler has none of those.

Side by side: Kepler vs Recruit CRM. Long form: the Recruit CRM review.

3. Loxo

What it is and who it suits

Loxo describes itself as a talent intelligence platform: an ATS and CRM sold together with Loxo Source, a graph of 850M+ professionals with contact information, plus AI agents, Loxo AI Chat and multi-channel outreach. It is US-weighted and suits agencies whose growth depends on finding people not yet in their database.

Pricing

Loxo Professional is the like-for-like plan at USD 199 per user per month billed annually and paid up front — the tier carrying Loxo Source, the agents, AI Chat and API access, with 2,500 pooled credits per seat per month. Core is USD 149 annual, no monthly price published, and drops all of those. Both tiers are labelled a new-customer limited-time offer; Professional migrations are scoped fixed packages. Read on loxo.co/pricing, 13 Sep 2026.

Where it is ahead of Kepler

The sourcing graph is decisive: Loxo Source on an 850M+ graph is a capability Kepler does not have in any form. Loxo Outreach runs email and SMS sequences where Kepler sends email only; Loxo documents job-board integrations with Indeed, Glassdoor, Seek, Reed and CV Library where Kepler has no multiposting; and it ships a sales CRM with deals and data-quality agents that de-duplicate against its own graph. Loxo has built recruitment AI since 2012 and states 125,000+ recruiters; Kepler has no paying customers yet.

Side by side: Kepler vs Loxo. Long form: the Loxo review.

4. Recruiterflow

What it is and who it suits

Recruiterflow is an ATS and CRM for boutique and mid-size agencies built around outbound sequences, with its AIRA agents sold as a second plan above the platform. It suits a desk that makes money on sequenced outreach across email, calls, SMS and LinkedIn.

Pricing

The plan to put beside Spott Pro is the AIRA Plan, the tier carrying AIRA Notetaker, AIRA Matchmaker and the Field Updates Agent, priced “Let’s chat custom pricing”. Beneath it, the Platform Plan is USD 119 per user per month billed annually or USD 149 monthly: the full ATS and CRM with sequences, automation and API access, and none of the agents. White-glove migration is paid, priced by data volume, typically six to eight weeks. Read on recruiterflow.com/pricing, 13 Sep 2026.

Where it is ahead of Kepler

Recruiterflow’s sequences send email, calls, SMS and LinkedIn messages natively with branching logic; only Kepler’s email steps send by themselves, and Kepler has no SMS inbox or campaign step. AIRA Source covers 850M+ profiles with phone and email finder agents; Kepler sells no profile pool. Recruiterflow posts jobs to LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor, models deals with a probability to close per stage, attaches scorecards to pipeline stages, and ships custom BI dashboards. It states that 2,100+ search firms use it; Kepler has no case studies yet.

Side by side: Kepler vs Recruiterflow. Long form: the Recruiterflow review.

5. Crelate

What it is and who it suits

Crelate is a recruiting CRM for boutique and mid-size US agencies with a strong pipeline interface, an AI Co-Pilot, a Discovery Agent over an external pool, texting, a mobile app, client portals and an optional back office, Crelate Deliver. It suits a US agency that places some contractors and wants light pay and bill beside the pipeline.

Pricing

The plan to put beside Spott Pro is Business Plus, the tier with the Advanced AI Assistant, automation and sequences and the full API; Crelate lists it as custom, per user, paid annually, so there is no public figure. Business is USD 119 per user per month billed annually or USD 149 monthly, without the Advanced AI Assistant, sequences or the full API; Essentials is USD 85 annual for up to two users. Texting, email campaigns, eSignature and enrichment carry a fee on every tier; migration is a paid package. Read on crelate.com/pricing, 13 Sep 2026.

Where it is ahead of Kepler

Crelate Deliver runs assignments, timekeeping, invoicing and payroll export inside the platform; Kepler has no back office. The Discovery Agent searches what Crelate describes as up to 1 billion people; Kepler sells no candidate database. Business Plus carries business-development workflows where Kepler has no deals object; Crelate texts from the product and its mobile app where Kepler has no SMS inbox and no native app; and its pricing page lists ISO/SOC 2 compliance where Kepler holds no certification.

Side by side: Kepler vs Crelate. Long form: the Crelate review.

6. Vincere

What it is and who it suits

Vincere, sold today as Access Vincere Evo, is a recruitment operating system for mid-size UK and APAC agencies, now part of The Access Group. It has a module for almost everything an agency does, including TimeTemp for pay and bill, with the AI sold as Smart Packs on top of the licence. It suits an agency with a temp or contract book.

Pricing

The like-for-like plan is the CRM and ATS licence from GBP 69 per user per month plus the Base Smart Pack from GBP 25 per agency per month — the pack carrying Copilot, candidate scoring and the content optimiser. Both are UK “from” prices billed monthly, with the actual figure a tailored quote. The licence alone carries none of the AI; enrichment and CRM automation need the Automate pack from GBP 235 per agency per month. Read on theaccessgroup.com, 13 Sep 2026.

Where it is ahead of Kepler

Vincere TimeTemp covers timesheets, shift scheduling, pay rules and invoicing, with Access FastTrack360 Evo for payroll alongside; Kepler has none of it, and for a temp book that line alone decides the comparison. Vincere multiposts through Broadbean and idibu, has SMS from the record, runs recorded video interviews through Vinneo, and ships native iOS and Android apps. The Access Group puts its base at 22,000+ recruiters; Kepler has no customers yet.

Side by side: Kepler vs Vincere. Long form: the Vincere review.

7. Bullhorn

What it is and who it suits

Bullhorn is the incumbent: a marketplace of 300+ pre-integrated partners, Bullhorn One for time, invoicing and payroll, VMS automation, onboarding and credentialing, and an AI layer sold as Amplify. It suits a staffing firm that pays and bills its own contractors.

Pricing

The plan to put beside Spott Pro is Bullhorn Pro, the small-agency tier carrying the recruitment CRM, AI search and match, Amplify Chat and call transcription, and it is quote-only. Starter at USD 99 per user per month and Core at USD 165 are published, but neither carries the AI or the recruitment CRM. Max, Front Office, Bullhorn One and all eight add-ons are also quote-only; published prices exclude VAT. Read on bullhorn.com/small-agency-software/pricing, 13 Sep 2026.

Where it is ahead of Kepler

Bullhorn One captures time and expense, automates invoicing and runs payroll; Kepler has no back office, and for a contract or temp firm that is the whole argument. The Marketplace lists 300+ pre-integrated partners where Kepler has an API, webhooks and no marketplace. Bullhorn states more than 10,000 companies on its platform and 25+ years in the industry, and stated in a 2015 press release that its infrastructure brings it into compliance with standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001; Kepler holds neither. Its Automation editions include SMS campaigns, which Kepler does not have.

Side by side: Kepler vs Bullhorn. Long form: the Bullhorn review.

Which Spott alternative should you choose?

If your asset is a database nobody can search and you want one assistant that answers across all of it and acts after you approve, choose Kepler. It is the wrong choice if you need a sourcing pool, a back office, an SMS inbox or a mobile app.

If you need to buy reach into a market you do not cover, choose Loxo for the 850M+ graph with contact information, or Recruiterflow if that reach has to be worked through multichannel sequences sending from inside the CRM.

If you run a temp or contract desk and need timesheets, invoicing and payroll beside the pipeline, choose Bullhorn for enterprise scale, Vincere in the UK or APAC, or Crelate for a US boutique. Kepler stops at recording invoice and payment status on a placement.

If you want the broadest cheap seat, choose Recruit CRM: Business at USD 135 carries fifty AI matches and the open API, with timesheets, bulk texting, multiposting and mobile apps in the product. Kepler is cheaper per seat but has none of those four.

If you were already leaning towards Spott for its opportunities pipeline, scorecards, telephony depth, multiposting or mobile app, none of the alternatives here matches all of those in one product. The honest reason to look elsewhere is the shape of the offer — three tiers, enrichment credits on top, cross-record AI routed out — not the quality of what is inside it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Kepler a good Spott alternative?

Kepler is a good Spott alternative for an agency whose bottleneck is the database rather than the workflow around it. Kepler’s assistant works across the whole workspace from inside the product, where Spott’s Ask AI is scoped to one record and routes cross-record work to ChatGPT or Claude over MCP; Kepler’s search reads email threads and call transcripts as well as CVs and notes; its matching shows a verdict and the evidence for every requirement; and it publishes one edition at USD 99 per user per month billed annually with migration included. It is not a good Spott alternative if you need an opportunities pipeline, interview scorecards, live inbound call cards and an SMS inbox, job multiposting, contact enrichment, a mobile app or ISO 27001 — Spott ships all of those and Kepler ships none of them.

How much does Spott cost?

Spott publishes two priced tiers and a quote-only Enterprise, read on spott.io/pricing on 13 Sep 2026. Core is USD 139 per user per month billed annually or USD 169 monthly. Pro is USD 199 per user per month billed annually or USD 249 monthly and adds Automations, the Marketing Suite, Multi-Channel Sequences and Data Enrichment, so Pro is the plan to compare with a one-edition product. AI token spend for matching, notes and drafting is included in every plan; enrichment credits for contact data cost extra. Spott runs migration, typically four weeks, and publishes no migration fee.

Which Spott alternatives publish their pricing?

Three of the seven publish a price for the plan that carries their AI: Kepler (USD 99 per user per month billed annually, one edition), Recruit CRM (Business, USD 135) and Loxo (Professional, USD 199). Recruiterflow’s AIRA Plan, Crelate’s Business Plus and Bullhorn Pro are priced on request, though each vendor publishes a cheaper tier without the AI — USD 119, USD 119 and USD 99 or USD 165 respectively. Vincere publishes UK “from” prices of GBP 69 per user per month for the licence and GBP 25 per agency per month for the Base Smart Pack, billed monthly, with the actual figure a tailored quote.

Which Spott alternative is the cheapest?

Among the plans with a published price that includes the vendor’s AI, Kepler’s one edition at USD 99 per user per month billed annually is the lowest, followed by Recruit CRM Business at USD 135 and Loxo Professional at USD 199, the same figure as Spott Pro. The cheaper published tiers from Recruiterflow (USD 119), Crelate (USD 119) and Bullhorn (USD 99) do not carry the AI tier compared here, so they are not like-for-like with Spott Pro. Cheapest per seat is not the same as cheapest to run: Recruit CRM meters automation, multiposting and enrichment as add-ons, Loxo meters credits, and Spott meters enrichment credits.

Which Spott alternatives have a back office for temp and contract desks?

Bullhorn (Bullhorn One), Vincere (TimeTemp with Access FastTrack360 Evo for payroll), Crelate (Crelate Deliver) and Recruit CRM (invoicing listed on all three plans, timesheets sold as a product line) each run invoicing inside the product. Kepler does not: a Kepler placement records fee, invoice status, payment status and rebate exposure, and reporting surfaces collections risk, but Kepler does not raise invoices, run timesheets or post to an accounting system. Loxo and Recruiterflow are not sold on a back office either.

Can you migrate from Spott to Kepler?

Yes. Kepler runs the migration for you on every plan at no cost. You send an export from Spott plus any loose CVs and spreadsheets; Kepler handles extraction, mapping, de-duplication and validation, rebuilds custom fields as fields rather than flattening them into notes, and shows you fifty of your own records fully parsed before the full load. Activity, stages and history come across, not just names and email addresses. The reverse is also available: Spott publishes import tooling and onboarding documentation, and both products have a public API.

Do these alternatives include AI in the price, like Spott does?

Spott includes AI token spend for matching, notes and drafting in every plan and meters enrichment credits separately. Kepler includes every AI feature in its one edition with a monthly allowance and additional capacity on request. Loxo Professional includes 2,500 pooled credits per seat per month. Recruit CRM Business includes fifty AI matches, with automation and enrichment as add-ons. Recruiterflow includes every AIRA agent on the AIRA Plan and none on the Platform Plan. Crelate’s Advanced AI Assistant is on Business Plus, with enrichment carrying a fee on every tier. Vincere sells its AI as the Base Smart Pack on top of the licence, and Bullhorn’s AI search and match and Amplify Chat start on Bullhorn Pro.
