Login & access issues
Password resets, invitation problems, and “why can’t I see that?” questions.
Forgot your password
Use Forgot password? under the password field on the sign-in page, then Send reset link. The email's link signs you in and lets you set a new password; it expires in an hour and works once. Check spam if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, and make sure you're using the address your account was created with. (Your sign-in email is fixed to your account and can't be changed in settings.)
A workspace owner or admin can also send you a fresh link: Settings → Members, the ⋯ menu in your row, Resend sign-in link.
How you sign in
Kepler signs you in with your email address and password. If your email domain uses single sign-on, the sign-in page says so as soon as you type your address and the button changes to Continue with single sign-on, which takes you to your organisation's identity provider. Your Google or Microsoft mailbox connection is separate: it syncs email, it doesn't sign you in to Kepler.
Invitation problems
- No invite email? Ask the inviter to open Settings → Members → Pending invitations, choose Resend invite, then Copy invite link and send it to you over any channel.
- New to Kepler and no password yet? Open the invite link and choose Email me a password link. That link works once, for one hour; if it expires, come back to the invite and send another.
- Link says invalid? The invite may have expired (invites last 14 days), been withdrawn or already used. It also fails if you're signed in with a different email address — choose Switch account and sign in with the invited address — or if the workspace has reached its seat limit. Otherwise ask whoever invited you for a fresh invite.
- Signed in but landed in the wrong place? If you signed in before opening the invite link, open the invite link again while signed in — it adds your account to the workspace.
"I can't see something my teammate can"
- Role limits — viewers can't edit; some settings pages are admin-only. See Roles & permissions.
- Email sharing — content from a teammate's account at a restricted sharing level is hidden by design.
- Different workspace — confirm you're both in the same workspace (check the name at the top of the sidebar).
Single sign-on or two-factor authentication
Kepler may redirect your email domain to your organisation's identity provider, ask for an enrolled authenticator code, or require you to set up an authenticator app before the rest of Settings opens. If the prompt is unexpected or you can't complete it, contact your workspace admin to confirm the workspace security policy — see Security & compliance.
Lost your authenticator device? Resetting an enrolment is deliberately not self-serve — contact your workspace admin or Kepler support.
Locked out entirely?
If you were removed from the workspace, you can't sign in to it until a workspace owner or admin invites you again. For anything else, contact support from the email address on your account.
