The principles
- Review at the right step. Review suggested updates before accepting them. A field set to Fill blanks lets AI fill an empty cell on its own, with Undo; a change to a value that is already there always waits for review. Assistant actions follow your workspace approval settings under Changes the assistant makes on Settings → AI: action types set to Ask first need your confirmation, while those set to Just do it are applied without a separate confirmation. Where Automations is available, review and test a workflow before publishing: a live automation carries out its configured actions without asking you to approve each run.

Configuring suggested updates
Configure how a column is filled when you create or edit it: manually, from other fields on the record, or from source content. For source-content suggestions, workspace administrators control the allowed communication sources under Suggestions on records on Settings → AI; Settings → AI → Fields lists every field, built-in ones included, with what it means, what AI fills it from and its rule (Fill blanks or Always ask). A field without a rule of its own follows the Default rule in the Fields section of Settings → AI, which is Fill blanks unless you change it.
