Finding emails, mobiles and LinkedIn profiles

Use Find on a record, a table or a whole selection to fill missing LinkedIn profiles, emails and mobiles, and manage enrichment credits.

When a candidate or contact is missing a LinkedIn profile, an email address or a mobile number, Kepler can look for it. Finding a LinkedIn profile is a free web search; emails and mobiles use enrichment credits, and you're only charged when something is found.

What it costs

Credits are only used when a value is found. Your balance is on Settings → Enrichment and Settings → Usage & billing.

Find on one record

  1. Open the candidate or contact and select Find details above their details.
  2. In Find missing details, tick what to look for. LinkedIn and work email are ticked to start with; each line shows its cost, or On file if the record already has it.
  3. Select Find. The footer shows the most it can cost.

You can also use Find work email, Find mobile or Find (LinkedIn) on an empty row in the record's details. A find that costs 3 or 10 credits asks you to confirm first.

A found value is added straight away with Undo, and the row is marked Added by enrichment or Found by web search so you can undo it later too.

Find from a table

  • Empty cells: an empty email, phone or LinkedIn cell shows a search icon. Free and 1-credit finds start at once; dearer ones ask to confirm in the cell.
  • Row menu: right-click a row (or open a card's ⋯ menu) for Find LinkedIn, Find work email, Find mobile and Find personal email, each with its cost.
  • Hover cards: rest on a person's name and use Find work email, Find mobile or Find LinkedIn on a missing detail.

Find for many people at once

  1. Select rows on Candidates or Contacts and choose Find details in the selection bar.
  2. Choose what to look for: LinkedIn profiles, Work emails, Personal emails, and Include mobiles if you want them. Only missing fields are looked up, and mobiles are only looked up for people whose LinkedIn profile is confirmed.
  3. Under LinkedIn matches, choose Send to Review to check the matches in one place, or Leave on each record.
  4. Select Start. A run stops if the credits run out.

When it finishes, choose Review N matches to go through the LinkedIn profiles it found. Strong matches can be accepted together with Accept all; check the rest one by one, or leave them on the records. Undo the whole run takes everything the run added back off (credits already used aren't returned).

Choosing the right LinkedIn profile

When Kepler is sure which profile is the person, it adds it with Undo. When it isn't, the record shows Web search · strong match or N possible profiles. Choose Use this profile for the right one, or None of these if none is, then Search again (free) or paste the link yourself.

Automatic finds

Under Automatic on Settings → Enrichment:

  • Read contact details from CVs (on to start with): emails and phone numbers in a CV fill empty fields, at no cost.
  • Search the web for LinkedIn when a candidate is added (on to start with, free): runs for candidates added by hand, from a CV, from email, from your job board, by the Assistant, by automations and through the API. An import runs one search over the new rows. A sure match is added with Undo; the others wait on the record. People marked do-not-contact are skipped.
  • Automations can find details too, with the Find contact details block and a monthly limit of its own.

Settings and who can use credits

Everyone can open Settings → Enrichment to see the balance and history; only admins can change the settings.

  • Who can use credits: Everyone, Admins and recruiters or Admins only. Viewers can never run finds, and finding details on a record also needs permission to edit it.
  • Limit per person: a monthly cap in credits for each member. Leave it empty for no limit.
  • Where results go: for emails and mobiles someone asked for, and for those found by a bulk run or automation, choose Fill empty fields or Wait for a tick.
  • History lists every find, its result and the credits used; Download CSV exports it.

Running out of credits

When the balance reaches zero, Find shows No credits left. Admins can choose Buy credits in the Credits section of Settings → Enrichment, where it's available for your workspace; otherwise contact support. If you've used your own monthly limit, ask an admin to raise it.
