Record creation settings
Control when Kepler creates records automatically — and keep your database deliberate.
Settings → Record Creation governs Kepler's automatic record creation, so you choose the balance between a self-growing database and a strictly curated one.
Who gets a record
Choose how Kepler creates people from email and calendar activity:
- All people — creates records for everyone your team interacts with.
- Selective creation (recommended) — creates records for people your team emails or invites.
- None — disables automatic creation while continuing to link activity to existing records.
Then choose whether AI decides Contact or Candidate, or whether Kepler should always create one record type. You can also create companies from email domains.
Protected recipients
Add email addresses or domains whose messages must stay out of shared CRM history, automatic record creation and AI Suggestions.
Records created by acceptance flows — like accepting an inbound applicant or committing a CV-import draft — are not affected by these settings; those are explicit actions you take.
