Connecting Google & Outlook

Link your accounts, understand what each provider syncs, monitor sync health, and disconnect safely.

Kepler connects your communication accounts under Settings → Communications Accounts. Once connected, threads attach to matching candidates, contacts and companies automatically, CV attachments are captured, and AI triage can work your inbox.

What each provider syncs

ProviderSyncs
Google SuiteGmail and Google Calendar — mail history plus meetings.
Microsoft OutlookOutlook mail and Outlook Calendar — mail history plus meetings.

WhatsApp account controls appear under Settings → Communications Accounts, but the channel is still marked Coming soon on the Communications page. Email is the messaging channel you can send and receive on today.

Connecting

  1. Go to Settings → Communications Accounts.
  2. Click Connect next to the provider and complete its consent screen.
  3. Back in Kepler you'll see "Success! Your account has been connected." The initial sync of your recent history may take a few minutes.

Team members each connect their own accounts; a workspace can have many connected mailboxes.

Sync status & health

Google accounts show a live status badge — Pending, Syncing…, Synced (with how long ago), or Error. If a sync stalls, the account is flagged Needs attention and the Sync health panel shows progress, last attempt/success and the last error. The account's menu offers Resync (or Recover sync when stalled), Edit Permissions and Disconnect. See Email sync issues.

Disconnecting — what's removed and what's kept

Disconnecting an account stops sync immediately and removes the account's synced data from the workspace:

  • Removed: synced emails, their contribution to communication history (last-interaction and relationship signals), and cached calendar events from this account.
  • Kept: your company, contact and candidate records (untouched), and all call recordings, transcripts and meeting notes — Note Taker output survives a disconnect.

Disconnecting is immediate and removes synced mail for the whole workspace — if you only need to fix a broken sync, use Resync or reconnect instead.
