Understanding the dashboard

The Dashboard is a live operating view assembled from your records. Nothing on it is entered separately; fix the data and the dashboard fixes itself. It is split into two tiers that answer two different questions.

Needs you today

The top half is only work that is waiting on someone.

Area	What it shows
Queue tiles	Up to four piles of work, each with a count and the rule that put things in it — applicants sitting in your first pipeline stage, submissions with no client reply for several days, interviews with no outcome recorded, overdue tasks. Each tile links to the list behind it.
Roles at risk	Open roles with a short reason and how long it has been true: start date passed, starts soon, open too long, no candidates, or no movement.
Next interviews	What's coming up, with a link through to the Calendar.
Your tasks	Your tasks grouped by due date — tick them off in place.

How the desk is doing

The bottom half is performance, not a queue. It covers the last 30 days, compared with the 30 before, and each figure carries its change.

• Applications received, Submitted to clients and Placements for the period.
• Fees billed for the period — or Interviews this week if you don't have finance access.
• Pipeline right now — live applications by stage.
• Placements per month and Fees billed per month for the current year, where finance access permits.

Open reports takes you from here into Reports for anything deeper.

Reading it like a manager

• Clear the queue tiles first — each one states a checkable rule, so an empty tile genuinely means nothing is waiting.
• Work the reason shown on each role — a long job list means little if half of it hasn't moved in weeks.
• Unpriced orders are unforecastable — fill in fees so the finance numbers mean something.
• Every number drills through to its records — click through and work the underlying list.
